Una larga novela, mas de 1000 paginas, algo densa en algunas partes, pero de una exquisita complejidad donde se tratan temas filosóficos, económicos y morales. A travÄ—s de los personajes, Ayn Rand nos va exponiendo su filosofÃa, lo que ha llamado objetivismo: el hombre es funamentalmente un ser racional y usa para el progreso un egoismo consciente que, para ella, lejos de ser un mal, permite el progreso de la humanidad, tanto a nivel general como individual. Tengo entendido que esta es la primera traducción de calidad de esta importante obra en idioma español. Hay que leerla, aunque cueste un poco.
One of the best books ever read by me and probably one of the best ones ever written.In a simple, fictional tale, Ayn Rand does an stupendous job of revealing the underlying dichotomy between the capitalism and the socialism, letting the reader understand by himself the logic behind the prevail of the former one.The book is as contemporary as when it was written several decades ago. It seams to tell and anticipate the recent story behind populist movement such as the ones seen in Venezuela or Argentina, to mention some relevant examples.To those who are going to read it for the first time, my very envy!
Este es definitivamente uno de los mejores libros que he leido. Cada uno de los personajes está caracterizado con una gran complejidad, la trama se desenvuelve con un paso continuo lleno de intrigas y de contenido filosófico. Algunos de los dialogos de los personajes son material de culto! Ayn Rand definitivamente está en el top 5 de los mejores escritores de norteamérica de todos los tiempos y esta es su obra maestra definitiva. A pesar de ser un libro tan largo, no sentà cansado el leerlo.
Excelente libro. Permanentemente nos lleva a hacer comparaciones con la realidad que vivimos en el año 2015, y la conclusiòn es lamentable: los vicios de demonizar al que produce, al que comercia, al que tiene la posibilidad de crear empleo, de crear empresas, son actuales. Mismo que victimizar a los culpables, y culpabilizar a las vÃctimas.
Esta es la clase de libro en la que uno se puede sentir relacionado a sus protagonistas, en especial Dagny y Hank. Cuando uno ve lo parecido de la caÃda del mundo según Rand, no se puede evitar relacionarlo con la realidad de Latinoamérica, los discursos de sus polÃticos y empresaurios.
Fundamental tener en cuenta, si uno lo lee en la actualidad, el momento en que fue escrita. Maravillosa descripción de los personajes y sus personalidades, como asà también de los lugares, reuniones, ambientes, etc. Tener en cuenta los diálogos y lo que ellos transmiten. La recomiendo teniendo tiempo para leerla no en forma esporádica.
Excelente obra.Recomendado especialmente para los jóvenes “milenialsâ€.Con seguridad que los hará revalorar a la libertad y los riesgos que conlleva perderla.Una comprobación, además, de que la libertad también implica responsabilidad.... algo que a muchos les asusta (o les molesta).
Bueno, una visión extrema del mundo desde el capitalismo. La visión apocalÃptica de extremos que hoy vivimos (Venezuela) con sus consecuencias...habrá un texto que sueñe el equilibrio entre el socialismo y el capitalismo?
